Based in Ottawa, Matthew Larventz is a Director and Political Affairs Lead at PAA. He leverages over a decade of experience across multiple sectors to advance clients’ public policy and advocacy needs at all levels of government.

Before joining the firm, Matthew honed his expertise in government relations at one of Canada’s largest law firms and a Canadian international education start-up. His political acumen is grounded in his experience as a political advisor on Parliament Hill, where he served in the office of the government’s British Columbia caucus Chair. A seasoned campaign manager, he has led successful election campaigns in British Columbia, Ontario, and his native province of Quebec. Beyond the campaign trail, he is a regular concert-goer and an avid enthusiast of British Columbia wines.

Matthew is dedicated to his community, with a strong focus on official languages, education, and primary health care. He serves on the boards of directors for Rideauwood Addictions and Family Services and CAPSA. He is also a former elected school board trustee in his hometown of Gatineau, Quebec.

Matthew holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.
