Stefania Gaudrault Valente
Advisor
As a multilingual with professional experience spanning three continents (North America, Europe and Africa), Stefania Gaudrault Valente brings a solid background in the field of political advocacy, public policy and research for the arts and culture sector, as well as outreach and branding strategies for non-governmental organizations.
Her profound sensitivity towards artists and the broader artistic and cultural sector, as well as her deep understanding of the essential mission of artistic organizations within our country’s cultural ecosystem and exposure abroad, has been fueled by her extensive tenure as a professional singer within Quebec’s largest choral organization, Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval, representing Quebec and Canada at an international level for the past two decades.
Prior to joining PAA, Stefania served as Network Coordinator and Research and Analysis Officer at the Fédération culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF), the only national advocacy organization for the arts and culture sector in the Canadian and Acadian francophonie, where she vigorously advocated for the political representation of artists, grassroot artistic and cultural organizations in Francophone minority communities across the country. In this role, Stefania organized national forums and oversaw the Collaboration Agreement for the Development of Arts and Culture of Francophone Minority Communities of Canada.
In the past few years, Stefania has also worked as a college lecturer (Department of Arts, Culture and Communication at Collège Lasalle International) and conducted seminars and participated in panels (e.g., the public national broadcaster RAI Italia, Master in Advanced Public and Cultural Diplomacy for International Relations of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, l’Association des théâtres francophones du Canada) to share her experience in the field of political advocacy and research in cultural diplomacy.
Stefania holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Diplomacy – Arts and Digital Media for International Relations and Global Communication from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano (Italy) as well as a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University (Double major in Political Science and Italian Studies; minor in Communication Studies).
