
Rémi Authier
Senior Advisor
Rémi Authier is a Senior Advisor in the communications team. He comes to PAA with a vast experience in media and journalism to help client maximize their reach and control their public image.
Rémi has been a journalist for more than 10 years with Radio-Canada/CBC before switching CPAC in order to cover federal politics. During his time with the national broadcaster, he has worked in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Québec and Ontario and produced stories on issues ranging from international conflicts to provincial budgets and from criminal cases to the Supreme Court. He has been to remote indigenous communities, the United States and the halls of power to tell the stories impacting Canadians everyday. Rémi has also hosted radio and television shows and conducted interviews with personalities from the political, business and cultural sectors as well has managed breaking news situation. At CPAC, he has covered the last federal election as well as the daily work of Parliament and partisan politics.
Rémi holds a Bachelor of Laws as well as a master’s in international and public Affairs, both from the Université de Montréal. Before becoming a journalist, he completed the Bar School program and practiced Law for a year and a half in Québec. He has also been a board member of the Quebec Press Council. He has a passion for rugby and can be found every weekend with a whistle in hand on the pitches around Ottawa and Montréal during the warmer months.
