Kate Mah is a Director at PAA’s Ottawa office. She provides in-depth policy analysis and strategic advice primarily in the environment, clean technology, and agriculture sectors. She joined the firm in 2020.

Kate provides strategic insight into Canada’s environment policies, identifies key engagement opportunities, and helps businesses achieve success with their clean energy projects. She works with clients to manage complex regulatory issues, ensuring that their positions are well understood by government.

Prior to joining PAA, Kate worked at the federal government and at an international governmental organization where she gained knowledge and experience in strategic policy, parliamentary affairs, and advocacy.

Kate holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, where she specialized in development, trade, and the environment. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Alberta.
