John McKenna is a Senior Advisor in PAA’s Toronto office, bringing fourteen years of public sector, agency, and political experience helping clients navigate the intersection of business, politics, and public policy.

A political strategist at heart, John specializes in distilling complex policies and issues into clear messaging and advising on how governments and businesses can come together to solve big problems.

Prior to joining PAA, John was the Director of Political Operations (Ontario) for the Liberal Party of Canada. Earlier in his career, John served as Senior Policy Advisor to Ontario’s Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, where he steered major cross-government initiatives that resulted in the largest investment in programs and actions focused on reconciliation with Indigenous people in Ontario’s history.

Outside the office, John has managed political campaigns and nominations at all levels of government, and sits on the board of the Magnetawan Watershed Land Trust.
