
Jessica Fisher
Advisor
Jessica joined the PAA Ottawa Arts and Culture team in 2025. Her background in arts-based research and advocacy within the arts, culture and heritage sector provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the ongoing challenges and opportunities faced by organizations in various fields across the country.
Previously, Jessica worked at the Ontario Museum Association where she organized advocacy provincial and federal advocacy campaigns. She also worked for Arts Etobicoke, where she researched the arts and culture interests and participation of residents of West Toronto, and developed and delivered data-training to arts organizations across Canada to better measure the impact of the arts. Jessica’s experience also includes research, operations and curatorial roles with Heritage Toronto, the Art Museum at the University of Toronto, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
Jessica earned a Master of Museum Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Art History, both from the University of Toronto. Outside of work, she is the Communications Chair for the Emerging Museum Professionals Canada Collective and enjoys playing the piano and dance.
